Arkansas State Fair Opens in Little Rock

The 2026 Arkansas State Fair opened in Little Rock on Friday, drawing families and visitors for its annual mix of attractions, food and support for local businesses. The opening featured a new “corndog drop,” with radio personality Roger Scott in a corndog costume descending on a scissor lift as Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and other officials attended. State police increased their presence alongside local law enforcement and reminded visitors that all entrants and bags will be screened; weapons and oversized bags are prohibited, and visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult after 6 p.m. The fair runs through Oct. 25.
