About 30 robots protest in Warsaw, demanding AI rules to protect jobs

About 30 robots marched outside Poland’s digital affairs ministry in Warsaw, waving flags and broadcasting slogans calling for AI rules and job protection. Organized by the Democratism initiative, the demonstration sought to highlight how humanoid robots and artificial intelligence could displace workers, including in cognitive professions. Organizer Grzegorz Kulis said the robots were deployed to show that the technology is already capable of operating in public and that policymakers should act before its impact on employment grows. The machines included bipedal humanoids and dog-like quadrupeds, and Digital Affairs Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said uncontrolled AI systems integrated into evolving humanoid robots pose a serious problem.
