UMass artist and Dallas College exhibition spotlight campus and community arts programs
Artists and arts organizations are developing ways to create, share and experience art across performance, exhibitions and community programs. At UMass, Thai American artist Mary Prescott is researching how physical and digital environments shape culture for an interdisciplinary performance planned for The Drake in February. Dallas College will present a student exhibition featuring work in several media from October 26 to November 25, with artist Eliana Miranda judging its awards. At Staples, the National Art Honor Society gives students a place to make and share work, collaborate and receive feedback outside regular classes. In Bakara, the In the Name of Art space marked its artistic re-entry and launched a second round of Mawndoé workshops, while a MAAC CRU blog also spotlights art and creativity as part of Kolkata’s Agomoni 2026 festivities.
