Christian apologist Michael Jones says threats against him and his family have become serious enough that he now feels forced to move.
Jones runs the Inspiring Philosophy YouTube channel, where he discusses Christianity, philosophy, Islam, theology, and religious history. His channel has attracted more than half a million subscribers, and he has frequently criticized Islamic doctrine and challenged claims that Islam is inherently peaceful.
According to Jones, that work has now placed his family in danger.
On Friday, he uploaded a video titled, “I need your help… this is getting dangerous…” In it, he explained that he and his wife are preparing for the birth of their second child while also trying to relocate to a safer home.
“Muslims are threatening and doxxing me and my family because I don’t say Islam is peaceful,” Jones said.
The video included clips from people who appeared angry about his criticism of Islam. In one clip, a man suggested that Jones would have to move because of the views he had expressed online.
“You’re going to have to move house next, IP,” the person said, referring to Inspiring Philosophy. He then accused Jones of provoking Muslims by repeatedly arguing that Islam is not peaceful.
The same person allegedly threatened to contact a school where he believed Jones’ sister worked and report her connection to him. Jones said the threats did not stop there. He claimed that individuals had discussed harming him, sexually assaulting his wife, and locating his home.
In another disturbing clip, a man said he would make Jones’ wife his “concubine.” A separate video appeared to show an online property listing that the speaker claimed was connected to Jones.
“This is where this little blaspheming animal be coming from,” the man said.
Jones also claimed that one of the individuals followed him to a church in Los Angeles, where he had been scheduled to speak.
“Muslims are threatening rape, violence, they’re stalking us, and they’re actively looking for my real home address,” Jones said. “On top of all this madness, my wife and I are expecting our second child to be born soon.”
