Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton vowed that she would support whoever the Democratic presidential nominee is after she unloaded on Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in an upcoming documentary.
Clinton claimed in the documentary that “nobody likes ,” and blasted his record as a senator as IJR has previously reported.
She also weighed in on Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-Mass.) claim that Sanders said a woman could not win the presidency and said it was “part of a pattern” with the Vermont senator.
After her comments circulated, the hashtag “I Like Bernie” trended on Twitter.
Later, Clinton said in a tweet that she was sharing her “authentic, unvarnished views” but vowed to “do whatever I can” to support the Democratic nominee.
“I thought everyone wanted my authentic, unvarnished views! But to be serious, the number one priority for our country and world is retiring Trump, and, as I always have, I will do whatever I can to support our nominee.”
In an interview with Fox Business, President Donald Trump did not miss a chance to knock his former competitor, “When Hillary says nobody likes , nobody likes her. That’s why she lost. Nobody liked her.”
Sanders appeared to brush off Clinton’s comments, in a statement released by his campaign he said, “My focus today is on a monumental moment in American history: the impeachment trial of Donald Trump.”
He did seek to clarify that there is a least one person who likes him, “On a good day, my wife likes me, so let’s clear the air on that one.”
