Deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein made an absurd penis joke to former Obama White House counsel Kathy Ruemmler on his 62nd birthday, files released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) show.
Ruemmler, currently serving as Goldman Sachs’ Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, emailed a wholesome “happy birthday” message to Epstein, writing, “I hope you enjoy the day with your one true love.” In his reply, Epstein wrote, “they say that men usually give a name to their penis, as it would be inappropriate to make love to a total stranger.”
The former Obama aide replied to Epstein, “Hard to believe that there is still an open question about whether men are the inferior gender.”
The files released by the DOJ in January 2026 revealed a close relationship between Epstein and Ruemmler. Epstein purchased Ruemmler several gifts, including a designer Hermes bag worth over $9,000 and a Fendi coat and bag worth over $6,000.
Ruemmler expressed her gratitude for their friendship in several emails. In one email, she wrote, “In the Swiss Air first class lounge drinking good red wine (only one glass!) and am thinking of you and am so very grateful for your friendship.”
