Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is claiming that if Republicans refuse to convict former President Donald Trump it will because they are his “co-conspirators.”
“If Senate Republicans fail to convict Donald Trump, it won’t be because the facts were with him or his lawyers mounted a competent defense,” Clinton wrote on Twitter on Wednesday. “It will be because the jury includes his co-conspirators.”
It is seemingly unlikely Trump will be convicted after only six Republicans voted to declare the trial constitutional, as IJR reported.
