House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) is offering his own take on President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.
During a speech on the House floor amid Impeachment proceedings on Wednesday, Hoyer mentioned the rioters who violently descended on the U.S. Capitol last week and suggested their actions serve as another meaning to Trump’s slogan.
“They had the hats on of the army of MAGA, which I refer to as ‘Make America Grieve Again,'” Hoyer said.
He added, “We grieved at Fort Sumter. We grieved on Dec. 7, 1941, and we grieved on 9/11 and, yes, we grieved on Jan. 6 of this year.”

The House is expected to impeach the president, charging him with “incitement of insurrection,” as IJR previously reported.
He called the Impeachment efforts “absolutely ridiculous” and argued it is “causing tremendous anger.”
