As Republicans and Democrats battle over whether or not to fill the Supreme Court vacancy that opened up in the wake of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death, various organizations are working to gin up support or opposition to filling the vacancy.
Planned Parenthood announced that it is launching an ad campaign against filling the seat that will target several swing states, including Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
“An American icon. A champion of women’s rights. Donald Trump wants to replace her with another Supreme Court justice before the election, against her dying wish,” a narrator says in the ad.
The narration continues, “Threatening coverage for preexisting conditions and reproductive freedom, just like he said he would. We can’t let it happen. Not to her legacy. Not to her seat. Not to our health. Not now. Not ever.”
Finally, the ad implores viewers, “Take action. Vote.”
