Rock Legend Rod Stewart announced he no longer wants to put out rock ‘n’ roll Music.
In a recent interview with “BBC Breakfast,” Stewart, 78, revealed he wants to venture out into new musical genres.
“I am actually stopping,” he said. “I’m not retiring but I want to move on.”
He added, “I had great success with ‘The Great American Songbook‘… and I’ve just done a swing album with Jools Holland, which is going to come out next year, so I want to go in that direction.”
The “Hot Legs” singer said he wanted to “leave all the rock ‘n’ roll Music behind, for a while, maybe.”
While this may be “kind of an end of an era,” a statement suggested by host Charlie Stayt, Stewart has already made peace with it.
“Everything has to come to an end sooner or later,” he said.
