President Donald Trump did not hold back in his disdain for Rep. Thomas Massie(R-Ky.) by calling him a “moron.”
Trump made that assessment Thursday morning at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, The Hill reported.
“He’s an automatic no. No matter what,” Trump said, as he referenced Massie’s opposition to past legislation supported by the president as well as other Republicans.
“If we did welfare reform, if we did the greatest thing in the history for religion, no matter what we did, no matter how good it is,” Trump continued. “No matter what we do, this moron, no matter what it is.”
“We’ll put in one bill,” he said. “We’ll get a 100% vote, except for this guy named Thomas Massie. There’s something wrong with him. We call him Rand Paul Jr.”
