Trump Recommends Graham’s Sister as Senate Replacement
The president has recommended Darline Graham Nordone to South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster as the interim replacement for her brother, the late Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), in the U.S. Senate.
President Donald Trump wants to keep the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s seat in the upper chamber in the Graham family.
To that end, the president recommended Darline Graham Nordone to South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster as the interim replacement for her brother in the U.S. Senate.
Trump made his recommendation known in a post on Truth Social.
"I recommended, to Governor Henry McMaster, Lindsey Graham's wonderful sister, Darline, to serve as interim Senator from the Great State of South Carolina," Trump wrote. "This would be a fabulous tribute to Lindsey, who loved her dearly!"
Trump made his one day after Graham's office announced that preliminary findings from the District of Columbia medical examiner concluded the senator died from an aortic tear caused by cardiovascular disease, per Newsmax
