President Donald Trump’s response to the Coronavirus Outbreak is receiving mixed reviews.
Thirty-nine percent of voters rated the president’s handling of the coronavirus as “poor” while another 12% rated the president’s handling of the outbreak as “just fair,” but 41% rated it “excellent” or “good,” according to a POLITICO/Morning Consult poll.
The poll was conducted March 13-16 and surveyed 1,986 registered voters, shortly after Trump officially declared a national emergency over the Coronavirus Outbreak, as IJR previously reported.
However, the poll showed voters “strongly supported” — 84% — Trump’s decision to declare a national emergency while only 7% opposed the action taken by the president.
Among Democratic voters, the president received roughly 10% saying his handling of the virus is “excellent” or “good.” In contrast, the president received 80% of those ratings from Republicans.
