Ryan Wesley Routh, the man accused of plotting to assassinate then-candidate Donald Trump on a Florida golf course has challenged the president to a round of golf.
What are the stakes? If Trump wins, he can execute Routh. If Routh wins, “I get his job,” Routh said in a one-page court filing, per the New York Post.
“A roung of golf with the racist pig, he wins he can execute me, I win I get his job,” Routh wrote. Routh is representing himself in his federal criminal trial.
“sorry hillbilly Vance,” the filing added.
Routh, 59, said he wants to “beatdown” the president.
“I think a beatdown session would be more fun and entertaining for everyone; give me shackles and cuffs and let the old fat man give it his worst,” he wrote.
“Carpet is red, isn’ t it, no harm in blood,” Routh added.
Routh is accused of aiming a rifle through the shrubbery along the fence line of Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach as Trump played golf on Sept. 15, 2024.
Routh asked Judge Aileen Cannon, who is overseeing the case, to “trade me away” to China, Iran, North Korea or Hamas, as part of a prisoner swap.
Routh also likened himself to the fictional George Bailey from “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
