Askarov Makes 41 Saves, Kochetkov Blanks Blues

The San Jose Sharks beat the Ottawa Senators 6-2 on Thursday, earning their first regulation win of the season in their 11th game. Goalie Yaroslav Askarov was central to the victory, making a career-high 41 saves as Ottawa applied sustained pressure, including a highlight-reel glove save to deny Drake Batherson. San Jose broke open the game with three goals in just over four minutes in the second period, and won without captain Macklin Celebrini recording a point—a promising sign for a team that has often relied on his scoring.
