Asylum Plans 10-Episode Z Nation Sequel

The Asylum is developing Z Nation: Resurrection, a 10-episode sequel set years after the original series, with a new generation of survivors facing a fresh threat to humanity. Original cast members Kellita Smith, Keith Allan, Russell Hodgkinson and DJ Qualls are reportedly in talks to return in supporting roles. The series is being produced with Vital Signs Entertainment; no release date has been announced. The original Z Nation ran for five seasons on Syfy from 2014 to 2018 and was followed by the two-season prequel Black Summer. Spokane crew members who worked on the original show say they have not been contacted about the new production.
