Attorney arrested over alleged threats to ICE
Florida attorney Lisa White was arrested in Long Beach, Mississippi, after authorities say she threatened to kill ICE agents while trying to buy a firearm and pepper spray at a gun store. According to a federal complaint, White said she wanted a weapon for protection at protests, asked whether firearms could penetrate body armor, and allegedly said she would target agents’ heads or limbs if their armor stopped bullets. Store employees declined the sale and alerted authorities, prompting an investigation by federal agents. White faces a federal charge of threatening a federal law enforcement officer, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
