Auburn Fan’s Database Tracks Eight Sports, Marching Band
Auburn fan Clint Richardson, known as “The Uniform Guy,” created a digital database documenting the history of Auburn athletics uniforms. What began as an archive of men’s basketball uniforms expanded after the 2013 football season and now covers eight sports teams and the university’s marching band. The database records details ranging from orange facemasks and uniform makers to changes in the placement of SEC patches, as well as trivia such as Auburn’s last game against a team wearing green jerseys in 1976. Richardson says Auburn football’s core look—its helmet logo and stripes—has remained remarkably consistent over time.
