Auburn's Brown Earns SEC Honor After Top-Ranked Upset

Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Tigers to a 27-24 upset of No. 1 Georgia, with 115 rushing yards, 150 passing yards and a touchdown through each. His performance also placed him among the Davey O’Brien award’s weekly Great 8 quarterbacks, and extended his streak of games with both a passing and rushing touchdown to four. Brown’s mobility now poses a major test for LSU, which is coming off a 31-0 shutout of Mississippi State and must contain his ability to escape pressure and make plays on the ground.
