Augustana Ties No. 3 Minnesota State

Augustana women’s soccer beat St. Cloud State 3-2 after building a 3-0 lead, with Avery Heinz and Laina Souerdyke scoring in the first half and another goal early in the second. The Huskies scored twice to make it close, but goalkeeper Larson made late saves to preserve the win; the result put Augustana a half-game ahead of St. Cloud State for sixth in the NSIC standings. Two days later, Augustana drew 2-2 with No. 3 Minnesota State: White equalized in the first half, Souerdyke put the Vikings ahead in the 70th minute, and Minnesota State tied the match late. Augustana’s regular season was set to close on the road against Wayne State.
