Janesville Men Face Second, Seventh OWI Charges
A 28-year-old Janesville man, Cole Cmar, was arrested on suspicion of second-offense operating while intoxicated after a high-speed, single-vehicle crash early Saturday in the Town of Albany. Authorities say he missed a curve, crossed the road into a ditch, struck a utility box and rolled several times; he suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was cited for failing to maintain control. Separately, 51-year-old Michael James Mansell was arrested after a Janesville traffic stop and faces a seventh-offense OWI charge, along with charges related to driving while revoked and failing to comply with ignition-interlock requirements. Mansell, who is on probation for prior OWI offenses, was held at the Rock County Jail; a blood-test result and court appearance information were pending.
