Five Crashes Close Highways in Three States
Crashes caused highway closures and delays in Virginia, Utah and Connecticut. A Monday afternoon crash shut all northbound lanes of I-95 near Temple Avenue in Colonial Heights, Virginia; injury details were unavailable. In Utah, a three-vehicle crash closed northbound I-15 near 600 North in Salt Lake City, leaving one person seriously injured and another moderately injured. Two Friday crashes in Sandy disrupted I-15 traffic: a five-car collision near 10300 South trapped three people who were cut from vehicles and sent a 47-year-old man to the hospital in stable condition, while a separate crash near 9000 South left a woman in her 30s in critical condition and another driver with minor injuries. In North Haven, Connecticut, a multi-vehicle crash closed southbound I-91 between exits 8 and 9, with injuries and a reopening time unconfirmed.
