Four Motorcyclists Die in Crashes

Four motorcyclists died in crashes reported in Illinois, Colorado and Tucson, Arizona. In Coles County, Illinois, 20-year-old Ezra Weber of Trilla died when his motorcycle struck a pickup truck on U.S. 45 while he was attempting to pass a slower vehicle. In El Paso County, Colorado, a 24-year-old rider died after his motorcycle went through a sharp turn and hit a concrete barrier near Colorado Springs Airport. In Tucson, 61-year-old George Edward Doyle V. died after a driver allegedly ran a red light and struck his motorcycle. Also in Tucson, 31-year-old Daniel William Easley died Saturday after police said he was traveling at high speed, ran a red light at Valencia Road and the eastbound I-10 off-ramp, and collided with a Subaru; its driver suffered minor injuries, and police said impairment was not a factor. Valencia Road and the I-10 exit were closed for several hours before reopening Saturday night, and Easley’s crash remains under investigation.
