American Airlines Jet Blows Tires After Brake Report at O’Hare
American Airlines Flight 41, a Boeing 787-800 arriving from Barcelona with 234 passengers and 11 crew members, landed at Chicago O’Hare on Oct. 20 after the crew reported a possibly dragging brake. The aircraft stopped on the runway after two tires blew, prompting emergency crews to respond. Passengers exited by stairs and were bused to the terminal. One person was taken to a hospital in good condition, though the airline said no injuries were reported. American took the aircraft out of service for inspection, and the FAA is investigating; the cause of the brake issue remains unclear.
