Six-year-old Mariana Espinoza died after being struck while crossing Barrington Drive at Lanecrest Drive in Charlotte on Oct. 23; the driver fled northbound. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are seeking a gray 2012–2015 Mercedes-Benz C250 with a sunroof, black rims, a dark gas-cap cover, a temporary tag and heavy front-grille damage, and have released an image of the suspected car. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is providing support to the Devonshire Elementary community.
