California Man Charged With Stealing Rifle From Pennsylvania Walmart

Jordan Pedigo, 26, of California, has been charged with allegedly stealing a Winchester .308-caliber rifle from a Walmart in Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 16. Police say surveillance video showed him entering an employee-only area, putting the rifle in a bag and leaving without paying; reports say he used forged paperwork. Bakersfield police arrested Pedigo on Nov. 1 and found him with the rifle and about 40 rounds of ammunition, then notified Bensalem investigators, who identified him as the suspect. A warrant was issued Nov. 5. The charges include theft, receiving stolen property, retail theft and unlawfully possessing a firearm. Authorities have not publicly detailed the circumstances of his California arrest or why he was prohibited from possessing a firearm, and the allegations have not been proven in court.
