Aviation Outreach Spans Schools, Airports, Universities
Aviation education initiatives are giving students practical ways to explore careers beyond piloting, including aircraft maintenance, air traffic control, aviation management and uncrewed aircraft systems. K-State Salina will host a free Nov. 14 event for students ages 16 and older, with program sessions, industry and alumni connections, and tours of campus aviation facilities. In India, Airports Authority of India officials introduced high school students to aviation roles, training and career requirements. A new youth aviation hangar and learning center at Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport will let students build aircraft and develop hands-on skills, helping create a pathway into the industry. In Europe, the Student Aerospace Challenge invites university teams to develop concepts for advanced suborbital and orbital vehicles, emphasizing practical, economically viable and environmentally friendly solutions.
