B.C. Teacher Gets Two-Week Suspension Over Reddit Photos

A Richmond, B.C., teacher has agreed to a two-week suspension of his teaching certificate after Grade 11 students found his public Reddit account in 2023. The account included nude photos, images of him engaged in sexual acts, and sexual posts; it also linked to photos identifying him as a teacher and showing him at school. The students said they were shocked and reported the material to other teachers because they considered it inappropriate. Jimmy Ho admitted the conduct was unbecoming and violated professional standards for B.C. educators. He has been on leave from the Richmond School District since shortly after the account was discovered.
