Baker Hughes Wins Major Venture Global LNG Orders
Baker Hughes and Venture Global are expanding their partnership with major equipment awards for Louisiana LNG infrastructure. Baker Hughes will provide 13 gas-compression systems for Venture Global’s Cloud Connector Pipeline and four liquefaction blocks containing eight modules, including Chart cold boxes, for the Plaquemines LNG expansion. The projects are intended to improve feed-gas transportation and add LNG production capacity as U.S. exports respond to global energy demand. Baker Hughes CEO Lorenzo Simonelli said the natural-gas and LNG outlook remains strong, with power consumption from artificial-intelligence data centers creating additional demand and no expected near-term supply glut. Separately, Venture Global CEO Mike Sabel said the company expects a ruling by year-end in another arbitration case involving LNG sales from its Calcasieu Pass plant.
