Bakeries Plan New Locations Across US
Several bakeries are expanding with new locations. Kudzu Bakery & Market plans to open in Greenville next summer at 1536 Laurens Road, bringing its pastries, breads, baked goods and gifts to a new South Carolina market; the shop will be operated by Columbia owners Kristi Gibbs and Kim McMurry. In Cambridge, Crisscross Bakehouse is being developed next to Honeycomb Creamery, with sweet and savory pastries, coffee and tea; customers can preview some offerings while the space is prepared. Los Angeles’ Jyan Isaac Bread plans to open its second permanent location in Silver Lake on November 2, featuring naturally fermented sourdough, bagels, pastries and cafe fare. Priceypoo Bakery in Port Charlotte also appears to be preparing another location, though details of the prospective site have not been reported.
