A 16-year-old was arrested after a domestic disturbance at a southwest Bakersfield home escalated into an overnight standoff. Police said the teen was armed, officers heard two to three gunshots, and a partial SWAT response was called; nearby residents were evacuated while negotiators and drones were used. After the teen refused to leave, officers deployed a chemical agent, and the teen exited and was taken into custody without incident. Police recovered a firearm and said the teen faces an arrest warrant alleging assault with a deadly weapon and other charges.
