Balogun left off Monaco's Conference League squad after Everton deal collapses
Folarin Balogun has been omitted from Monaco’s UEFA Conference League squad and will also miss Friday’s Ligue 1 match at Paris Saint-Germain, despite returning to group training. The U.S. striker has not played in any of Monaco’s first four matches this season after his proposed £40 million move to Everton collapsed on transfer deadline day. Monaco sporting director Thiago Scuro said Balogun withdrew after Everton raised concerns about his fitness during the medical examination. Monaco remains under financial pressure to sell players, and Balogun could still move to a league where the transfer window remains open, including Saudi Arabia. His omission from the European squad leaves his future at Monaco uncertain.
