Bank of America names Dow chairman and ex-KPMG chief to board
Bank of America expanded its board from 12 to 14 members, appointing Dow Executive Chairman Jim Fitterling and former KPMG International CEO Bill Thomas effective October 21, 2026. Fitterling will serve on the Enterprise Risk and Compensation and Human Capital committees, while Thomas will join the Audit and Corporate Governance committees. Both will receive prorated cash and restricted-stock awards under the bank’s non-employee director compensation program. Bank leadership described the appointments as part of its board succession and refreshment process, citing Fitterling’s corporate leadership and Thomas’s audit, accounting and financial-reporting expertise.
