Barkley Criticizes Jokic Over Fan Comments

Charles Barkley criticized Nikola Jokic for saying fans who booed the Denver Nuggets during a poor stretch were not welcome at games and were not real fans. Barkley argued that players must accept supporters’ changing reactions: fans may boo when a team struggles and cheer when it rallies, as Philadelphia 76ers fans did during a comeback against Cleveland. Jokic made his remarks after Denver erased a large deficit to beat New Orleans, saying the booing fans should not return; Barkley and other commentators said he was taking the criticism too personally.
