Bayern Thrash Bodø/Glimt 5-0 as Musiala Returns
Bayern Munich opened its Champions League campaign with a 5-0 home win over Bodø/Glimt, extending its record winning streak in opening games to 24 matches. Jamal Musiala scored in his return to the starting lineup after missing time while adjusting to treatment for absence seizures, while Harry Kane, Alphonso Davies and Michael Olise—who scored twice—completed the rout. Bayern broke through early in the second half after Bodø had defended stubbornly, then added three goals in the final 15 minutes before Bodø defender Odin Bjortuft was sent off. The match also marked goalkeeper Manuel Neuer’s 18th season appearing in the Champions League for Bayern, surpassing Thomas Müller’s club record, as the 40-year-old continues to pursue a third title.
