Baylor hosts Iowa State after 41-9 win

Baylor and Iowa State meet in Waco with both teams coming off high-scoring wins: Baylor routed UCF 41-9 behind DJ Lagway’s 319 passing yards and four touchdowns, while Iowa State edged Oklahoma State 51-49 after running back Aiden Flora rushed for 221 yards. Baylor’s offense has momentum, led by Lagway and receiver Gavin Freeman, but Iowa State’s defense has struggled against the pass and has allowed 30 or more points in three conference games. The Cyclones will look to build on their improved run blocking and Flora’s production, though they have yet to win on the road and have scored no more than 13 points in road games this season. Iowa State coach Jimmy Rogers praised Lagway’s arm and athleticism, making the matchup between Baylor’s potent passing game and the Cyclones’ defense a central storyline.
