BC Lions Add Lineman; Detroit Reportedly Adds Returner

The Detroit Lions are reportedly adding veteran returner DeAndre Carter to their practice squad as they seek a replacement for Tom Kennedy, who is out for the season with an MCL injury. Carter brings extensive NFL experience, including 155 punt returns and 144 kick returns over his career, and averaged 9.7 yards per punt return. The Lions have other candidates to compete for the role, but Carter offers a level of return-game experience their internal options lack. The team had not officially announced the move at the time of the reports.
