Beaumont Cancer-Awareness 5K Draws Thousands

Hamilton residents used a $2,500 neighborhood microgrant to organize the free Main & High Halloween Trail, drawing families downtown for trick-or-treating, music and other activities. In Beaumont, Gift of Life’s annual Halloween-themed Ribbon Run brought together thousands to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones and raise awareness of breast and ovarian cancer. The event featured a 5K, survivor parade, ceremony and wellness activities, with proceeds supporting the organization’s free medical services and education programs in Southeast Texas.
