Bills Plan First U.S., Canadian Anthems
The Buffalo Bills will play both the U.S. and Canadian national anthems before their Sept. 17 home opener against the Detroit Lions, marking the first time in franchise history that both have been performed before a home game. Auli’i Cravalho, the voice of Moana, will sing the U.S. anthem, while Barenaked Ladies will perform “O Canada.” The ceremony comes amid heightened trade tensions between the United States and Canada and will accompany the regular-season debut of the new Highmark Stadium. OneRepublic is scheduled to headline the halftime show, with the game set for national broadcast on Prime Video.
