United Therapeutics and Denali Outline Pipeline Shifts at Morgan Stanley Conference

At the Morgan Stanley Global Healthcare Conference, United Therapeutics outlined a strategic shift toward pulmonary fibrosis, highlighting clinical data for nebulized Tyvaso in idiopathic and progressive pulmonary fibrosis, a planned portfolio of inhaled and oral therapies, and expansion of its sales force and development programs. The company said it expects to file for approval of its Tresmi soft-mist inhaler by year-end and views ralinepag as a potential growth driver in pulmonary hypertension, while pursuing additional COPD-related indications. Denali Therapeutics said competition from China-based innovation and the adoption of artificial intelligence are accelerating drug development, while U.S. manufacturing has improved flexibility and speed. Denali also discussed the commercial launch of Avlayah, its FDA-approved blood-brain-barrier therapy for Hunter syndrome, and plans to extend the platform to Sanfilippo syndrome, oligonucleotides and neurodegenerative diseases, with additional clinical and regulatory milestones ahead.
