Bishop earns two national honors after Alabama win

Tennessee running back DeSean Bishop earned national recognition after leading the Volunteers to a 26-10 win over Alabama, receiving both the Doak Walker Award National Running Back of the Week honor and the Burlsworth Trophy Walk-On of the Week award. He rushed 32 times for 159 yards and two touchdowns, with much of his production coming after contact and in the second half as Tennessee closed out the victory. The performance marked his third straight game with more than 100 rushing yards and moved him to fifth on Tennessee’s career rushing-touchdowns list.
