Bitcoin ETFs Gain $159M; Ethereum ETFs Lose $39M

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $159.5 million in net inflows on September 17, reversing a one-day pause, with BlackRock’s IBIT accounting for the gains while several rival funds posted outflows. In contrast, spot Ethereum ETFs saw about $39.3 million in net outflows, extending their losing streak to three sessions and bringing combined withdrawals over that period to roughly $405 million. BlackRock’s ETHA led Ethereum-related outflows with approximately $42.9 million, while Fidelity’s FETH and VanEck’s ETHV each recorded modest inflows. The contrasting flows indicate that investor demand was stronger for Bitcoin exposure than for Ethereum products, though Bitcoin inflows were concentrated primarily in a single fund rather than broadly distributed across the market.
