Black Parade Sets 20-Year Billboard 200 Record

My Chemical Romance’s 20th-anniversary reissue of its 2006 album The Black Parade has reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, giving the band its first chart-topping album in its roughly 25-year career. The album took 20 years to reach the summit after originally debuting at No. 2, setting a record for the longest gap between an album’s release and its first week at No. 1. The reissue earned 78,000 equivalent album units, including 68,000 in sales and 10,000 from streaming, surpassing the previous record held by Toby Keith’s 35 Biggest Hits.
