Blues Beat Bruins 4-1, Thomas Nets Three Points

The St. Louis Blues beat the Boston Bruins 4-1 on Thursday, overcoming an early goal by rookie James Hagens. Jimmy Snuggerud tied the game on a power play before Philip Broberg and Robert Thomas scored in the second period; Jake Neighbours added another power-play goal in the third. Thomas and Broberg each finished with a goal and two assists, while goalie Joel Hofer made 31 saves. Bruins coach Marco Sturm called the loss a potential wake-up call after his team’s sloppy play, as Boston fell for a second straight game.
