Booker, Green Expected Back for Suns-Jazz Finale

The Suns finished preseason with questions about backup guard Jamaree Bouyea’s role: one analysis argued that coach Jordan Ott has given him too much of the offense, pointing to heavy shot volume in losses and comparatively few attempts for Collin Gillespie. Bouyea still has a place on the roster, but the piece suggested he may be better suited to a supporting role rather than serving as a primary scorer. For the preseason finale against Utah, Devin Booker and Jalen Green returned, moving Bouyea to the bench; Phoenix started Booker, Green, Dillon Brooks, Miles Bridges and Khaman Maluach. Oso Ighodaro sat with hip soreness, which Ott said was not expected to keep him out of the regular-season opener.
