Brandon Miller agrees to five-year, $209M Hornets extension

Memphis defeated Charlotte 117-98 in the teams’ preseason finale, finishing its preparation with a strong defensive performance. Third overall pick Cameron Boozer led the Grizzlies with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Memphis players and coach Tuomas Iisalo praised the team’s improved communication, physicality and execution. The game offered a final test for Charlotte, which had struggled with turnovers during the preseason; Iisalo said Memphis still needs to do a better job avoiding fouls and sending opponents to the free-throw line.
