Bridge Reopenings Expected Across Idaho, Illinois

Winnebago County has delayed the planned reopenings of two bridges over the Rock River. The Prairie Hill Road bridge, undergoing a full replacement, is expected to reopen during the week of Dec. 14, 2026, while the Roscoe Road bridge, closed for structural repairs and improvements, is expected to reopen during the week of Dec. 21. Separately, Roscoe Road will close at a railroad crossing east of Sprague Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 29 for railroad repairs, with traffic detoured via Gleasman Road.
