Brookfield plans $600 million senior notes offering due in 2031
Brookfield Corporation announced a planned $600 million offering of senior unsecured notes due in 2031, bearing 5.650% annual interest and expected to settle September 23, 2026. The notes will be issued by Brookfield Finance Inc. and fully and unconditionally guaranteed by Brookfield Corporation, with proceeds designated for general corporate purposes. The securities will include standard covenants, including a negative pledge and a change-of-control put allowing holders to require repayment at 101% of principal, along with make-whole and par-call redemption provisions. The offering is being registered with U.S. regulators under Brookfield’s existing shelf and indenture documents, with Computershare Trust Company of Canada serving as trustee.
