Bruce Campbell Reports Five-Year Cancer Prognosis

Bruce Campbell, the actor best known for playing Ash Williams in the Evil Dead franchise, says doctors have given him a prognosis of roughly five years following a cancer diagnosis. Campbell, 68, disclosed the diagnosis in March, describing it as treatable but not curable while declining to identify the type of cancer or provide additional medical details. During an appearance on The Adam Carolla Show, he confirmed the estimate as “give or take” and said the disease has affected him mentally as well as physically. He said he is focused on living with the illness rather than becoming consumed by it, managing each complication as it arises and maintaining as normal a life as possible. Treatment has led him to reduce professional commitments, including appearances and conventions.
