Buc-ee’s Plans 74,000-Square-Foot Louisiana Debut

Buc-ee’s is preparing to build its first Louisiana travel center in Lafayette, with a groundbreaking ceremony planned for Nov. 9. The 74,000-square-foot site along Interstate 10 is expected to feature 120 fueling positions and the chain’s signature food offerings, including Texas barbecue, fudge and Beaver Nuggets. The project is expected to create more than 200 full-time jobs, with benefits, a 401(k) match and paid vacation.
